 Sunsolar Energy Technologies is pleased to announce the TROPICAL FISH™. This internationally acclaimed evaporation inhibitor is the only alternative to conventional solar blankets.
Evaporation accounts for up to 90% of heat loss from a swimming pool. A single TROPICAL FISH™ contains liquid which automatically floats to the surface of the pool, and acts as an evaporation inhibitor, much as a conventional solar blanket performs, except much easier to use.
Our key ingredient is a non-toxic chemical called HEATSAVR; it's been around for over 8 years and has a proven track record in commercial use. We packaged it to facilitate its application for the residential pool owner. HEATSAVR is filter friendly, does not affect the chemical balance (PH, chlorine, alkalinity) of the water, will not damage vinyl liners or any other pool surfaces, and is absolutely harmless to skin contact.
How does it work?
It's easy as 1-2-3
1. Snip Scissors at the top of the fin along the black line where indicated.
2. Press gently to remove any air until the liquid begins to come out. Do not over squeeze. If needed, re-cut fin slightly lower.
3. Drop the TROPICAL FISH™ into your pool. It will slowly sink to the bottom and begin dispensing the liquid automatically.
The liquid forms an invisible layer on the surface of the water. It is 80% as effective as a conventional solar blanket but 100% less trouble. It works 24 hours a day, even while people are swimming. TROPICAL FISH™ will last for approximately 1 month. Then all you have to do is retrieve the fish and toss a new one in.
Technical Info
Pool TROPICAL FISH™ contains a liquid called Heatsavr. It works by slowing evaporation from the surface of the swimming pool. It reduces the steam loss per hour and therefore the dollar cost of keeping your pool warm.
Heatsavr is a mixture of carefully chosen ingredients which are lighter than water so that they automatically float to the surface. They are attracted to each other so that they always try to form a perfect very thin layer over the whole pool surface. They are individually so small that they are 500 times smaller than the spaces in a super high quality filter. After a swimmer stops disturbing the water they rush to reform a complete layer because they are chemically happiest that way.
Heatsavr theoreticly could save half your heat bill if no one ever swam in the pool and if the circulation pump were turned off. This is not likely but it does achieve savings as high as 40%.
Pool Area Covered
One TROPICAL FISH™ covers a pool area of 350 to 400 sq. ft for approximately one month.
:
1 fish for an above ground pool up to 21 ft.
2 fish for above ground pools 24ft and up.
2 fish for in ground pools 16ft x 32ft and over.
Notes:
* TROPICAL FISH™ may get attacked by certain automatic pool vacuums or bottom drains. For trouble free use, just tie your fish using the hole in the top fin to your ladder or skimmer. Hang the fish just off the bottom and out of the way.
* TROPICAL FISH™ works best when there is little or no movement on the surface of the water. You can adjust your pool jets down if necessary.
* If the pool temperature is below 21° (70°) or there is too much Liquid Blanket in the pool, you may see a white residue, because the active ingredient has not dispersed evenly over the pool surface. This will go away by itself as the Liquid Blanket biodegrades over a few days and is not a problem.
